Sleep is a complex process; it is imperative to identify different stages and quality of sleep. A sleep study (polysomnogram) is a recording that includes various measurements used to help identify and diagnose sleep disorders. The signals show when you are asleep and awake and detect body movement, breathing patterns and changes in oxygen levels. You will not experience any pain during the study. Sensors are gently placed on the skin and are connected to the computer. The wires are long enough to let you move around. You will be able to use the bathroom during the study.
Our experienced staff will go out of their way to make you feel relaxed. Sleep Studies are typically scheduled at 7:30 and 8:30 pm and finish at 6:00 am.
